Mr. Sims died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Haws Memorial nursing facility in Fulton.

A retired farmer, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tennie Sims; four sons, Charles Sims, Farmington Rt. 1, Eddie Sims, Mayfield Rt 5, Terry Sims, Mayfield Rt 6, and Jimmy Sims, Lexington; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Lamb, Coldwater; three brothers, A. V. Sims and Robert Sims, both of Farmington, aid John Sims, Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hill, Coldwater, Mrs. Edith Fuqua and Miss Lois Sims both of Farmington; and 11 grandchildren.
