Sr. Marguerite Belanger (Sr. Louise de la Charite), 86, a Sister of the Presentation of Mary for 57 years, died at Holy Cross Healthcare Center, Manchester, NH.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of Henri and Louise (Thibault) Belanger. She entered the Order of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1946, made her first profession in 1950 and her final profession in 1955. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Education and a master's degree in Education both from Rivier College, Nashua, NH. Sister Marguerite taught at parochial elementary and secondary schools in New Hampshire at St. John the Baptist and St. Marie High School both in Manchester and Notre Dame High School in Berlin. She served as Principal in Rhode Island at Notre Dame in Phenix, St. Anne in Woonsocket, St. John the Baptist in West Warwick and Presentation of Mary in Marieville.

She also served 42 years as local Superior at the Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson, NH and St. John the Baptist in Manchester, NH and West Warwick, RI and Rivier College. Ssister Marguerite was a member of the board of trustees at Rivier College for 22 years. She was also an archivist who helped organize the Heritage Room at the PMA Academy in Hudson.

The family includes a brother, Maurice Belanger of Somerset, MA and several cousins, nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Resurrection Chapel.
