Married Catherine Welter (1821-1843) on Aug.10, 1840 in Beauford-Enternach, Luxembourg. She died while plans were being made to leave for America and she is buried in Luxembourg. He married Anna Schmidt on July 27, 1843 in Luxembourg and she immigrated w/him and two oldest children. Daughter Catherina Thiel Imm Trausch is my grt-grt-grandmother and wanted to share info w/you. Mathias parents were George Thill/Thiel (1772-1817) and Margaretha Hess (1768-?). I believe they died in Luxembourg. Cemetery unknown.
