Eva Kathryn Poole, 92, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at her home in Fairfield, California. Eva was born June 21, 1924, in Champaign, Illinois, a daughter to James Menzo Jordan and Laura Ellen ( McKelvey) Jordan. On April 21, 1956, she married Wayne A. Poole at home in Savoy, Illinois.

Eva loved singing in church and local choirs. In her early years she enjoyed sewing and golfing, but most of all she was an enthusiastic fan of her children's and grandchildren's sporting, scouting and musical activities. She was a member of Eastern Star for 50 years and belonged to St. Mark's Lutheran church in Fairfield. Eva volunteered her services for 42 years to the Red Cross at Travis AFB.

Eva lived her life for her family. Her greatest joy was to gather everyone together for family celebrations. She was lovingly surrounded by her family on the day she passed.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lt. Col. Wayne A. Poole, Ret. of Fairfield; daughters, Pat McGrorty of Alaska, Vivian Poole of Novato, California, Deborah Brick and husband Joel of Vacaville; sons, Michael Poole and wife Michelle of Alaska, Mark Poole and wife Janice of Vacaville. She had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; and her daughter, Kathryn Ann.
