Vincent A. "Jock" Hardesty, 92, of Jasonville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at Harborside Healthcare in Terre Haute.

Born Oct. 20, 1914 in Jasonville, he was the son of Noah and Artie Bridges Hardesty.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II,35256949 1st. R.C.O. C-04th Air Depot Group. He was the owner and operator of Hardesty Brothers Clothing & Shoe Store in Jasonville until it was destroyed by fire. He retired from Washington Manufacturing as a traveling salesman. He attended the Linton Jehovah's Witness Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Debi (Kirk)Weger of Terre Haute; nieces Glodene Sweet, Patsy Graf, Joetta Cotter, Betty West and Delores Todd; nephews, Richard Hardesty, Robert Hardesty, Ronnie Hardesty, Gareth Pipes, Bob May, Craig Lynn, Bob Lynn, Ronald Burcham and Larry Burcham.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Iva Iola Burcham, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland where military graveside rites will be conducted.
