Marc Christopher Taylor, 28, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Cedar Bluff, Va., died Wednesday, November 20, 1996, in a Houston, Texas hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Richlands, Va. and was a son of Bill Reece and Nancy H. Honaker Taylor of Cedar Bluff, Va.

He was a 1986 graduate of Richlands High School and was a member of the Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, receiving his B.S. Degree in 1990 and was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was also very active in the Wesley Foundation, a campus ministry of the United Methodist Church. He had made his home in Houston for the past four years and was employed as a social worker with Texas Mental Health and Retardation Board.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, are one brother and sister-in-law, Frank William and Sarah Buchanan Taylor, II of Rosedale, Va.; one nephew, Frank William Taylor, III; one aunt, Betty H. Bryant of Wytheville, Va.; one uncle and aunt, James E. and Connie G. Honaker of Tazewell, Va.; three cousins, Jim Honaker, David Honaker and Robert H. Bryant, Jr.; a life-long friend, Matthew Rasnake; a friend, Joe Garcia; his special love, Eva Miller; and his dog, Bezzy. Many other friends also survive because he was loved by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Mr. Marc Christopher Taylor will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. Olin Shupe officiating. Interment will follow at Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, where he will rest beside his grandmother, Mrs. lena Goodwin "Nene" Honaker. Pallbearers will be Ira Buchanan, John Casey, John Taylor, James Bower, Robbie Tatum and Jim Honaker. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Va., one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
