Paul E. “Buddy” Rhodes of Alexandria, VA and formerly of Annandale, VA died November 19, 2016 at Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria.
Paul was born in Harrisonburg, VA January 17, 1929 to Edward C. and Sada Geil Rhodes. He was born and raised in Harrisonburg and a member of the Harrisonburg High School Class of 1946. Paul worked at Suter’s Cabinet Shop and also at the National Institutes of Health as a lab tech. He retired from the Marriott Corporation as an architectural draftsman. On June 27, 1954 he married the love of his life, Anna Mae Martin, who predeceased him in 2012. He was also predeceased by his sister Eleanor Rhodes Lee and his son Scott Timothy Rhodes. Paul is survived by several nieces, a nephew and his wife’s niece.
Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Hill Baptist Church 9301 Little river Turnpike, Fairfax, VA 22031 on Tuesday, November 11, with a Visitation beginning at 10AM with a Funeral Service immediately following. Interment will take place following the service at National Memorial Cemetery, Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22041.
