Dale Eldon Albers, age 63, of Bricelyn, MN, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his home. A visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, MN. Private family interment will be at the Brush Creek Cemetery, Brush Creek Twp., Faribault Co., MN. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family.
Dale was born June 17, 1953 in Wells, MN, the son of Henry and Lillie (Christensen) Albers. Dale graduated from Wells-Easton High School in 1971. He was united in marriage to Barbara Pitcher November 17, 1978, and to this union 3 children were born. The couple later divorced. Dale worked as a machinist at Progress Casting from 1987 – 2009, and also worked for Johnson Farms in Bricelyn. He was a member of the Wells Rifle & Pistol Club, Volunteer Firearms Safety, and the NRA. He enjoyed target shooting, archery, fishing, and attending sportsman's shows. He also enjoyed antique power and threshing shows with his brother, Randy. He loved playing with his dog, Chester. Dale was an avid reader, story writer, gardener, and tinkerer. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, and teaching them many things. Dale said that if he knew grandchildren were so much fun, he would have had them first!
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his best furry son, Buddy.
Dale is survived by his brothers: Randy Albers of Wells, MN, Dean Albers of WY, and Rosalie Albers of Bricelyn, MN; children: Amanda (Scott) Landherr of Wells, MN, Amy Albers (Garen Vickney) of Hastings, MN, and Sara Albers (Shane Jacobson) of Albert Lea, MN; and 6 grandchildren: Lilliana, Bailey, Cashton, Liam, Delaney, and Rylan.
