Irma V. Barnett, 80, of Crosby, Texas passed away Tuesday January 2, 2007. She was born on March 15, 1926 in Oil City Louisiana to George Monroe Burnett and Hetti Aveline Shattuck.

Irma loved to read and was big fan of the Houston Astros. She was a long time member of Second Baptist Church of Highlands where she very active. Irma was also a past officer in the Baptist Association.

Irma is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Charles S. Barnett, and sister Ruby Jean Cezaux. She is survived by her son, George David Barnett and wife Nancy of Houston; daughter, Becky Barnett-Parkey and husband Chris of Crosby; son, Ronnie Barnett and wife Mary Ann of Crosby; grandson Daniel Barnett; sisters, Shirely Burnett-Moore of Fort Worth and Lillie Mae Almand of Baytown; and brother, George Burnett of Baytown; two sister-in-laws;and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Barnett, Ronnie Carlisle, Randall Guzman, James Allen, Paul Busby, and Keith Parkey.

A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday January 4, 2007 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday January 5, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home.
