Chaney Services
Services for Richard B. Chaney,71, of 600 Lafayette Avenue, who died Saturday at the home of George H. Twigg, Wiley Ford, will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a. m. at the George Funeral Home with Rev. M. A. Keesecker, pastor of Kingsley Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Chaney was the son of the late John and Merriah (Rice) Chaney. His wife, was Lettie (Nichol) Chaney, and he was the last member of his immediate family. He had been employed at the Baltimore and Ohio YMCA and retired in January because of poor health. Justice of the Peace C. J. Phillips, Ridgeley, acting as coroner, investigated the death and ruled a heart attack as the cause. Chaney, who had been sitting in a chair, collapsed after getting up to go to another room. He died within a short time. A bottle containing medicine for a heart ailment was found in his pocket.
