Ethel Joyce Proffitte, age 77 of Piedmont, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Piedmont.
She was born November 16, 1935 at St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Fred and Virgie May (Miller) Proffitte. She was a homemaker and a long time member of Little Lake Baptist Church.
She was married to Clifton N. Clifford, II on March 19, 1955 at St. Louis and he passed away March 25, 1992.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Virgie May Proffitte, 1 brother, Fred Proffitte, Jr., and 2 sisters, Lanell Price and Leta Moore.
Survivors include 5 children, Joy Clifford, of Fredericktown, MO, Nancy Fay Sexton (William Calvin) of Shelbyville, TN, Clifton "Nick" Clifford III (Katherine) of Fredericktown, MO, Jerry Clifford (Racheal) of Greenville, Glenda Clifford, of Piedmont, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jack Ruble officiating.
Interment will be in the Yount Memorial Cemetery at Garwood, MO.
