nita Joan Dunn passed away this past week on November 17, 2014 she was 80 years old. Ruth and Keith Dunn gave birth to a beautiful little girl born on March 31, 1934 at Greenfield, OK, given the name of Anita Joan Dunn. She attended all 12 years of school at Greenfield, Oklahoma. Joan grew up riding Trixie and Smoky on the farm west of Greenfield, she was the best rider of the family. It just came naturally to her. She had many friends from her schools days at Greenfield and the same during her years of work with Ford Motor Company. She attended her 50th High School reunion in 2002 with brother Pat being her escort. That 1952 class was very close and each member was a friend. Joan along with brothers Johnnie and Pat were baptized as Christians at the Geary First Baptist Church in the fall of 1947. Their home church, The First Baptist Church of Greenfield did not have a baptistry. Upon graduation in the spring of 1952 Joan went to work in Oklahoma City at Selected Investments and then a few years later joining Ford Motor Company on west main street, transferring to Ford's office in Carrollton, Texas in 1967 and working there until she retired.
Joan was preceded in death by her brother Johnnie Keith Dunn, her father Keith Dunn, her mother Ruth Dunn.
Interment will be at the IOOF cemetery in Watonga, Oklahoma on November 29th beside her mother, father and brother Johnnie at a 10 am grave side service with Pastor Doyle Kinney presiding.
