Ida Mae Turner, 56, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born May 31, 1960, a daughter of Vivian Harps Lisenby and the late Arthur C. Turner, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Brandy L. Turner, a brother, Arthur C. Turner, Jr., and two sisters, Gloria A. Turner and Linda F. Lindsey.

She graduated from T. Wingate Andrews High School Class of 1978. She furthered her education at Guilford Technical Community College. Ida’s prior employment was at Guilford County Health Department. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church of High Point, NC.

Ida was a very enjoyable and happy go lucky person.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Vivian L. Harps Lisenby; sisters, Marcella (Walter) Johnson, Curtistine Turner Brooks, Deborah (Eric) Boston, Tracey A. Turner, all of High Point, NC and Cheryl D. Turner of Maryland; a cousin who was like a sister, Rosalind Monk of High Point, NC; a special friend of 43 years, Pastor Billie Ruth Bivens; there are nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Baptist Church, 808 Hilltop St., High Point, NC. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.

Final arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
