Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Hawk Funeral Home in Sligo for Mrs. Edith L. Myers, 87, of RD 2 Sligo, who died at 1:15 p.m. Jan 5, 1973, at her home.

Born in Piney Township, July 25, 1885, she was a daughter of the late William Curtis and Lucy Thompson Summerville. She was married Nov. 24, 1915 to Henry Harvey Myers, who died Feb. 19, 1964.

Mrs. Myers was a member of the Rimersburg Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Clarion Normal School and a member of the Clarion State College Alumni. She taught school for 11 years in rural Clarion County.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Mary Alice) Burns of RD 2 New Bethlehem and Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Corbin of New Bethlehem; one son, Dick H. of RD 2 Sligo; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alice Nelly of East Chicago, Ill., and two brothers, Jay Summerville of RD Rimesrburg and Mack Summerville of Curllsville.

An infant son and one sister, Bernice, preceded her in death.

The Rev. Edward McKee, retired Presbyterian minister, officiated at the funeral services and interment was in the family mausoleum in Licking Cemetery.
