Served as a Nurse at the Elmendorf Airforce Hospital in Anchorage, AL; worked as nurse for the Wyclisse Bible Translators in the 1960s; instructor at Northwestern Michigan College; unit manager start up psych ward for Munson Medical Center both in Traverse City, MI; nursing instructor at Cedarville College in Springfield, OH and Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. Retired to Cottonwood, AZ, returned to Michigan after her husband of 50 years passed away.
Proceeded in death by her parents; in-laws Edmund and Alice (Chapman) Crawford; sisters Nellie, Violet, Maybel, Sadie, and LaDona; and brothers Clifford and Tommy. Survived by a son; two daughters; three grandsons; sister Gladyce Cartwright; in-laws Gwen Crawford, Bruce Crawford, and Art Freel. She loved helping people, reading, music, and going for walks.
