She was born June 9, 1918 in Sellersburg, Indiana to the late Perry and Florence Ella Bottorff Couch.
She was a homemaker and a member of Russell Springs United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karlus Jackson Stephens who died February 11, 2001 and a daughter, Gwen Howard who died in 1999.
