On Wednesday, November 16, 2016, Beth Anne Holmes passed away at home surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born to Edwin and Jean (Pergoli) Bornfleth in Milwaukee, WI, the oldest of 5 children. All who knew Beth remember her beautiful smile and her love of her family, the Green Bay Packers, cardinals, and a good hamburger. She was kind and welcoming to all she met. This was apparent by her yearbooks that were filled with her classmates' fond memories. She graduated Salutatorian from Brookfield East in 1966. She went on to Lawrence University where she met her future husband, Craig Holmes. After two years at Lawrence, she and Craig transferred to the University of Oregon. Beth and Craig got married on September 5, 1970. After moving to Tennessee and then Minnesota, they settled down in Norton Shores, MI to start Craig's medical practice and raise a family. Beth was a devoted mother, who was actively involved in her children's lives. She was also a supportive wife, the lifelong First Mate to her husband, on and off the lake. In her spare time Beth loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and walk her dogs. She was a selfless individual who loved unconditionally. The depth of her family's loss cannot be measured.Beth is survived by her husband of forty-six years and their two children, Lindsey and Christopher. Christopher and his wife, Anne (Klingman) have a son, Campbell, who was the apple of his grandma's eye. Beth is also survived by her brother, Edwin (Sally) Bornfleth; sisters, Susan (Robert) Hinnen, Barbara (James) Cavallo, and Lori (Carrick) Troutman; her sister-in-law, Terry (Kermit) Bott, eleven nieces and nephews and their spouses and children, and two adoring Field Retrievers, Jake and Woody. She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Jean (Pergoli) Bornfleth, and her parents- in-laws Chester and Lorraine (Wagner) Holmes. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, November 19. The Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
