Richard Wolfe was born in Dexter on Oct. 20, 1949 to Bill and Kathleen Wolfe. He attended kindergarten at Canary Lake Elementary, then attended earl elementary in Ankney until his eighth grade year when his parents died. He then moved to Dexter and made his home with his aunt and uncle, Maxine and John Hadley. He graduated from Dexfield High School.
He married Petty Countryman on June 2, 1968. They had lived in Holt for 20 years. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing, restoring his '66 Impala and '54 Chevy, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Love; his father, Bill Wolfe; his step-father, Chuck Love; a brother, Billy Wolfe, and his Uncle John.
He is survived by his wife, Paggy, of Holt; one son, Steve Wolfe, of Lathrop; and one daughter, Kathy Loveall of Lathrop.
