Lillie Mae (BUSWELL) WEAVER, 84, a summer resident of Culver and winter resident of Bradenton, Fla., died at 10:15 p.m. Sunday in the Holy Cross Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. Born Nov. 29, 1903 in Donaldson to Ira and Minnie ESKRIDGE SEESE, she had lived most of her life in Culver and Florida. In September 1922 in Culver she married Samuel H. BUSWELL, who died in February 1943 [grave marker indicates 1944]. On Aug. 12, 1972 in Bradenton she married Carl WEAVER, who died in 1984. She retired in 1961 after 36 years with Indiana Bell Telephone Co.
She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Culver, the Pythian Sisters, Bradenton, the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the American Association of Retired persons.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Mary Louise) LOFTUS, Whitestone, Va., and Mrs. Charles (Sarah) SCHAFER, Plymouth; a son, John BUSWELL, Indianapolis; fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Josephine AGNEW, Rutland, and two brothers, Clarence "Bub" SEESE, Culver, and Ira SEESE, Jr., Leiters Ford. She was preceded in death by a son, Jack E. BUSWELL, and a grandson, Charles SCHAFER III.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Church of Christ, Culver, with the Revs. Walter VONDEROHE and Robert SHANER officiating. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, from 2 to 4 and to 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, Culver.
