On this day of Jan. 2, 2007, our Mother, Grandma, and Great-grandma passed from our loving arms into the arms of her Blessed Mother Mary. Mom experienced a most beautiful vision leaving no doubt that she was home.

Catherine Mary was born on Nov. 21, 1917, in Anaconda to Steve and Angela (Mantz) Antonich.

She was married to Rudy Chor in 1934, together the operated the Warm Springs Dairy and the Home Dairy, Rudy died on June 20, 1970. Catherine then married Clarence McLaen and they were happily married for 26 years, until he died in 1998.

Catherine will be fondly remembered for her years of service at both John Wind's Bakery and St. Ann's Hospital. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Croatian Fraternal Union and the Anaconda Catholic Community. She was very proud of her Croatian heritage, she loved to dance, sing, and a polka always made her feet kick up. Her life was cooking, baking and feeding family and friends, excelling in traditional dishes and generously shared her delicious treats.

Being devoted to her Catholic beliefs, especially the Blessed Mother, her daily Rosary and prayers started and ended each day.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Frank and Steve, husbands Rudy and Clarence, and a son Rudy "Punkin" Chor.

Catherine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Walt Goodman of Helena; granddaughters and spouses Sharlene (Dr. Keith) Stav, Jennie (1st Sgt. Monty) Herrin, and Becky (Todd) Bruck all of Helena, Stacie (Dr. Todd) Marsh of Plentywood; great-grandchildren, Jake Merritt and Monty Herrin of Helena, Jared, Jackson, Justin and Jacob Marsh of Plentywood; great-great-granddaughter Aspen Merritt of Helena; Clarence's sons Bob (Paulette) McLaen and their children Trevor and Hazel of Washington, Don (Kathy) McLaen of New York and their sons Bill, Pat and Mike; her son Rudy's family Diane, Danny, and Terry; sister Helen Sanderson and her children Mark Sanderson of Butte, Alana (Mark) Johnson of Helena, and Dr. Thomas Sanderson of New York; sisters-in-law Angela Clifford of Spokane, Darlene Antonich; nephew Steve (Mary Lynn) Antonich and great-nephew Steven Thomas Antonich all of Anaconda; and nieces and nephews Marianne (Jim) Lyons and Susan (Greg) Viskovich of California, and Frank (Karen) Antonich of New Mexico.

Catherine had a large loving family on her Chor and McLaen side, Catherine's niece Rosemary (Chor) Johnson was mom's special angel, "Dodo" Verlanic was Catherine's dearest childhood friend, and Stan Blaz is the family's Guardian Angel.

"Though we may never hold her in our arms again, we will carry our Love for her in our hearts forever." Memorials in her memory are requested to a Hospice of choice and/or Anaconda Catholic Community.

Services are under the care of the KT Riddle Funeral Homes, Anaconda.
