James A. (Jim) George

KAYCEE--Memorial services for James A. (Jim) George, 59, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the cookhouse at the TTT Ranch, 19 miles south of Kaycee.

Mr. George died April 15 at the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital following a long illness.

Born Sept. 27, 1924, at Douglas, he was the son of Harry and Mabel George, and was reared and educated in the Douglas area.

Mr. George served as a signalman in the U.S. Navy during World War II and his tour of duty included the liberation of the Philippines.

In 1951, he married Doris Kelly. Mr. George worked as a cowboy and enjoyed horseback riding and the outdoors.

Besides his widow, who is employed as a ranch cook at the ranch, he is survived by two sons, Harry of Medicine Bow and Charlie of Kaycee; two daughters, Mrs. David (Laurie) Ryan of Madison, W. Va. and Mrs. Butch (Peggy) Dressler of Sentinel Butte, N.D.; two brothers, Lewis George of Lander and Dick George of Douglas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Jim George Memorial Fund, c/o TTT Ranch, Kaycee, would be appreciated.
