She was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, and during her youth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Employed by Ideal Cleaners, Wanda was active in youth organizations to support her children’s involvement.
Wanda was especially proud of the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren, who became teachers, business leaders, university administrators, attorneys, engineers, and health care professionals.
Wanda and George enjoyed bowling and traveled extensively. Wanda will be remembered as a wonderful mother, excellent homemaker and cook, and the individual whom friends and family called upon for help when problems arose.
Wanda’s family thanks Newhaven Butler, and Brookdale of Austintown, Ohio, and Harbor Light Hospice, of Youngstown, for their excellent care of Wanda while she faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s during her final years.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George A. Beck, Sr., who passed away June 18, 2014, and also by two brothers and two sisters,
Wanda is survived by one brother, two sons, three daughters, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint Paul R.C. Church.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
