Joyce Adkins Bradley passed away on November 15, 2016 in Camarillo, California.
Joyce was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 3rd, 1932. She attended North Fulton High School where she was captain of the cheerleaders and voted most popular.
She was a member of the Phi Pi Sorority and sponsor of the Sigma Phi Omega Fraternity. Joyce later attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.
She married Walter Allan Bradley (her 2nd marriage) in 1966. She had two children, Angela Apperson Power of Oxnard and Lawrence L. Apperson of Simi Valley. Joyce had 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Joyce and Walter moved to Woodland Hills in 1971. There she was President of the Newcomers Club in 1979 and 1984.
In 1988 they moved to the Santa Rosa Valley (Camarillo). There she was active in the Assistance League and volunteered her time in the thrift shop in Ventura. In 1989 Joyce and Walter joined the Las Posas Country Club where she was very active in duplicate bridge.
Joyce and Walter joined the Spanish Hills Country Club in 1994 when it opened. They spent time and energy with the Spanish Hills Corporation and established and initiated the Spanish Hills Duplicate Bridge Group where she remained president for many years.
Joyce's favorite pastimes were spending time with her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling the world during her many cruises with her devoted and loving husband, Walter.
Joyce will be interred in her niche at Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village, California.
