Son of John H. II and Stephanie (Doane) Beebe. He was raised and educated in Wakefield graduating from Wakefield High School before enlisting in the Army in 1943. John was sent to the University of Ohio for specialty training before he was deployed during the European Campaign. Returning home from the war John took over the family business as the Owner Operator of J. H. Beebe and Sons Tannery in Boston and Danvers. He cherished spending time with his family at their vacation home in Popham Beach, Maine. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him much joy. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed boating on the Parker River as well as gardening.
John is survived by his wife of 64 years, two daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a sister. He was predeceased by his sister, Priscilla Druward.
