Mrs. Harry (Anna) Derricks, 95, Town of Eaton, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Harmony of Denmark. The daughter of the late Michael and Philomina (Brice) Arendt was born July 25, 1915 in New Franken and lived in the Eaton area all of her life. She married Harry Derricks on August 8, 1933 in New Franken, and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1997. Along with raising her family, Anna was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Sugarbush, the Altar Rosary Society at church, the Mother’s Club, the Senior Citizens, and the “We Five”. She had been volunteer leader for the Poland Senior Center for 14 years.
Survivors include her children: Larry and Barbara Derricks, Jacksonville, IL; Darryl and Carol Derricks, Denmark; Gayle and Dorothy Derricks, Denmark; Linda and Tom Paider, Denmark; Brice Derricks and special friend, Cindy Billings, Wabeno; Doane and Judy Derricks, Plum City, WI; and Darwin and Linda Derricks, Denmark; two sisters, Gladys Beaudin, Two Rivers, and Bernice Derricks, De Pere; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Lucille Derricks, Marion Lischka, and Mabel Arendt; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two Goddaughters, Judy Petersen and Claire Tlachac; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was in preceded by brothers: Goldie, Raphael, John, Leonard, Armin, Michael, Jr.; and a sister, Joy.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Sugarbush. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at church, with Fr. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, Denmark, is assisting the family.
