Wyndell Haskell Sikes, Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Long officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 866 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mr. Sikes was born in Cochran, GA to the late Floyd Haskell and Jewel Johnson Sikes. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Sikes and Kent Sikes. He was a graduate of Cochran High School and attended Middle Georgia College. Wyndell served in the United States Army and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. He was employed with Standard Oil Company for many years and then became, co-owner of Freeway Foods and owned Sikes Rental Properties. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
