Dorothy "Dottie" J. Odegard, age 75, of Geneva, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 21, 1941 in Painesville to Dorothy (Cole) and Homer Ferguson. She married William Odegard at Geneva, on October 13, 1973.
Dottie was a 1958 graduate of Madison High School. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Geneva, the #2243 Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Madison Jay Wilson Post #112 of the American Legion Auxiliary, and Geneva VFW Post #6846. Her family will especially miss her wonderful loving smile.
She is survived by her sons, Tom (Krystal Patrick), Dwight (Judy), Ron (Kelly), Scott (Kathy), Mark (Denise), Jesse, John (Jenny); daughters, Susan (Brian) Vaughn, Tammy Greathouse; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Larry Ferguson, Doug (Cheryl) Ferguson, and Jerry (Myla) Ferguson and her beloved dog, Zoe.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Virgil Moyers, Sr.; second husband, Bill Odegard; son, Virgil Moyers, Jr.; son-in-law, Bill Greathouse; her parents; brother, David Ferguson.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at 4p.m. at the Christ Episcopal Church, 66 South Eagle Street, Geneva, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Thomas Jackson, officiating. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. at the church.
The Behm Family Funeral Home of Geneva is handling arrangements.
Contributions may be made in Dottie's name to American Legion Post #124, Geneva, Ohio or the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Post #2243, Geneva, Ohio
