He was born Feb. 28, 1940 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Levi and Sarah Hostetler Yoder. He married Laveille M. Fehr on Sept. 28, 1960 in Roanoke. She preceded him in death on March 22, 2003 in Chenoa.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ben and one brother, Duane.
Surviving are two daughters, Sarah (Lloyd) Hart and Elizabeth (Tim) Wanless; one son, John Yoder; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Devon was the owner and operator of Shepherdson Manufacturing for many years. He was also an auctioneer and woodworker. Devon also ran a crafts and collectibles shop in Rutland. He loved breaking, riding and training horses, but most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
