Mrs. Webb was born north of Dexter on Sept. 26, 1916 to Edwin Marston and Malinda Cox Marston. She lived in the Dexter area all of her life except for a short time in 1929 when she lived in Illinois with her family. She graduated from Earlham High School in 1934 and married Lewis Elmer Webb on Nov. 24, 1936 in Adel. From 1938 until her death, she lived in the same house.
Mrs. Webb worked at the hamburger stand she and her husband owned during the 1940s, and at the Webb Cafe from 1964 to 1972. She worked at Kuhn Funeral Home from 1976 until she became ill in 1996. She belonged to the Dexter United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, serving as secretary for several years. She also belonged to the Dizzy Dozen Club.
Mrs. Webb is survived by her daughter, Janet Webb of Flower Mound, Texas; her son Jerry Webb of Cordova, Ill., a sister, Velma Babcock of Oak Lawn, Ill. and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Everett Marston; three sisters, Pearl Secrest, Mable Knox and Dortha Findlay. She was also preceded in death by one grand daughter.
