LINCOLN, IL - Warren "Robbie" Robinson, 86, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Warren was born July 16, 1929, in Jamaica, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Wava; son, Michael "Mickey" (Donna) Robinson of Lincoln; daughter, Wanda (Perry) Winebrinner of Lincoln; two granddaughters; five step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, great-grandson, his parents, six brothers and four sisters. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Warren was a Navy veteran of 26 years. He retired in August of 1972. He served in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam.

He was an avid Chicago Cub fan, New York Yankee fan and Dallas Cowboy fan. He enjoyed bowling and was in several leagues.

He moved to Lincoln from Norfolk, Va., in 1983 to be closer to his grandchildren. He worked at Lincoln College in the maintenance department.

Warren wishes to be cremated with no services. His cremains will be buried next to his daughter at a later date in Dexter, Iowa.

Services were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
