Martha M. “Mart” Wise, 90, resident of Susque-view, formerly of Howard, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at the Susque-View nursing home in Lock Haven.
She was born on July 24, 1926, in Centre County, the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha Bittner Lucas. She married James J. Wise; he preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a homemaker, but in her earlier years she worked at Sylvania of Mill Hall.
Mart enjoyed her activities at Susque-View.
She is survived by one brother, Orn Lucas of Bellefonte; three sisters, Mary Jane Heverly and Dorothy Gardner both of Howard, and Geraldine Miller of Spring Mills; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Brickley on Nov. 25, 2013, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, at noon at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Howard, with the Rev. Dennis Callahan officiating. Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery in Howard Township.
