Thomas H. “Tom” Robbins, 99, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 at his home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Joseph First United Methodist Church, 2950 Lakeview Ave. St. Joseph with Rev. Harris Hoekwater officiating. Burial to follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Tom was born November 13, 1917 in Greensburg, IN to Howard & Lottie (Reynolds) Robbins. He was a graduate of Connersville High School in 1935. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corp from 1943 until he was honorably discharged in 1946. On September 7, 1941 he wed the love of his life Mary Erhart. Tom worked in Sales Management at Whirlpool Corporation for 27 years until he retired on December 31, 1982. He was a member of the musicians union and was the owner of a dance band for 10 years. Tom was very musically inclined and could play many instruments, he played in the military band during his time of service. He will be remembered for being a people person and his ability to make a connection with anyone who he crossed paths with.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 76 years Mary; sister Rita Oaks of Richmond, IN; adoptive children Kathy Brintnall of NJ, John (Marsha) Brintnall of Bloomington, MN and Jim Brintnall of Wheaton, IL; and numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother Joe Robbins and sisters Colleen Goetz and Diana Kelly.
