Jeff was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and took much joy in compiling baseball statistics. From his mother he also had a profound love of genealogy and family history, but his true passion in life was music. He was beloved and admired by fans and musicians alike.
Along with his parents, he will be missed by his wife Summer James and his children Daeron and Blake James and Drew and Aiden Watters, his sisters Kim Champion of Hector and Darla Browning of Fort Smith, and his brothers Wesley James of Guy and Stan James of Sherwood. He was preceded in death by Daeron's and Blake's mother, Rhonda Jernigan.
