Clarence's obit:

Clarence E. Stanford, 47, of 106 Walnut Ave., died unexpectedly in his home Friday night.

Born in Elgin March 30, 1913, for seventeen years he was an Instructor at Elgin Watch Matchmakers' College and since closing of the college had been in the assembly department of Elgin National Watch Co.

He was a member of House of Hope Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ruth Blank Stanford; two sons, John and Cecil, both of Elgin; a brother, Chester, and two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Coral) Reinert, Elgin, and Mrs. Mark (Carol) Keene, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil, and 1947, and by his mother, Mrs. Cora Sorenson Stanford, April 15, 1959.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Stout Funeral Home with Dr. Roy W. Zimmer, pastor of House of Hope Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery; Friends may call a the funeral home.
