son of Stephen & Mary [Dayton] Burritt. Andrew was an original proprietor of Hinesburg, Chittenden co., VT & the only proprietor to settle in that town & live out his life there. The Burritt cemetery where he & some of his descendants are buried was given to the town of Hinesburg by the Burritt family on land that they owned.
