Ronnie Russell Phillips, Sr., age 69, passed away Wednesday Nov. 16, 2016. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at Westwood Christian Fellowship in Weatherford. Burial: Private, at a later date. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday prior to service. Ronnie was born Feb. 7, 1947 in Fort Worth, to Rev. William P. and Margaret Phillips. Ronnie was a contract welder for TXI and Martin Marietta for 38 years. His greatest join in life was his ability to give of himself to so many, not only family but friends. He had a great love of music being an accomplished guitarist. he was a member of Westwood Christian Fellowship. Ronnie loved being a support in sending kids to youth camp in memory of his sons Russell and Rusty Phillips, who preceded him in death as well as his mother, Margaret Tate Phillips; and grandparents, A.R. and Lula Boyd Tate. Survivors: Loving wife, Debbie Bideler Phillips; daughter, Kimmy Roberts and husband, Troy; and five grandchildren, all of Houston; father, Rev. William P. Phillips; brother Johnny Phillips and wife, Norma; sister, Joan Phillips Rockwell and husband, Richard, of Weatherford; loving nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members.
