Funeral services for Helen L. Harris, 86, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Christian Chapel with Pastor Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
Helen was born July 9, 1930 at Muskogee, OK, the daughter of O. B. and Edna (Cox) Cartwright and died Friday, November 18, 2016 in Muskogee. She was a lifelong resident of the area and member of Lighthouse Assembly of God. Prior to retirement, Helen worked as an inspector at Brockway Glass.
Survivors include her sons, Floyd L. Harris Jr. and Wyval of Sun City Center, FL, DeWayne Harris and Denise of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, Helen (Sis) Ford and Steve of Muskogee; three brothers, David Cartwright of Muskogee, Dee Cartwright of Aspermont, TX, Leon Cartwright of Muskogee; two sisters, Barbara Chapman and Dwight of Muskogee, Christine Yount of Okay; three grandchildren, Kyle, Kelly and Doug; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Irene Cartwright; brother, Bill Cartwright; and grandson, Clint.
