Funeral services for Pat Stevens, 67, of Lufkin will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.

Mrs. Stevens was born October 30, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas to Mary Ann (Johnson) and Fred Lee “Buster” Nicholas, and died Thursday, November 17, 2016 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Stevens was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She was a hairstylist for 20 years and had been a substitute teacher for Lufkin ISD for 14 years. Mrs. Stevens was an avid golfer and a member of the Lufkin Country Club, Ladies Golf Association, and the Circle Club. She was a member of Herty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Nancy Stevens; daughter and son-in-law, Aimee and Daymon Gilbert; grandchildren, Kaitlin Gilbert and Noah Gilbert, Britt Stevens and Briley Stevens; mother, Mary Ann Nicholas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Linda Nicholas, Terry and Lynn Nicholas; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. “Steve” Stevens, Jr.; father, Fred “Buster” Nicholas; and parents-in-law, Peck and Jewel Stevens.
