William Henry Conboy, age 95 of Southport CT, passed away on January 25, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Elsie Conboy. They were married for 59 years. He was the son of Harold and Frances Conboy born in Providence RI on September 4, 1920. He graduated from Joseph Case High School in Swansea MA. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific, Second Class Petty Officer. He belonged to the disabled Veterans. He was employed by the US Post Office as a letter carrier for 35 years and was a member of NALC BR32. He later worked at Lindblad Travel in Westport, CT. He and his wife, Elsie did extensive worldwide traveling. Bill was an avid Red Sox fan. He loved playing golf. He was predeceased by his brothers Hector Conboy and Raymond Ballard. He is survived by 3 loving daughters, Patricia Ondek of Tenants Harbor, ME, Ginger and her husband William Schappart of Brookfield, CT and his loving care-giver daughter Nancy Bartovic of Southport, CT; by six grandchildren: Aaron Ondek, Geoffrey Cooke, David Cooke and Amanda Cooke, Melissa Bartovic and Perry Bartovic; 4 greatgrandchildren: Alex Rae and Makenna Cooke, and Joshua and Colin Cooke. He loved them all. He had many cousins as is survived by Marion Murray and Eleanor Read. He was a communicant of Saint Thomas Aquinas Church.
