REV. JOHN SIDER – It is with much regret that the relatives and many friends here of the late John Sider received the message of his death in Stayner last Thursday. Rev. John Sider was born and brought up on a farm near Sherkston. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Sider, who predeceased him by many years. He was married to Miss Louise Sherk of Sherkston. They had three sons and two daughters, all born on the old Sider homestead, where they were all highly esteemed. Rev. Sider was sent by the Evangelical Mennonite Church Conference as a pastor to Stayner, where he has lived in that community ever since. His wife predeceased him by a number of years. Although Rev. Sider was in poor health for some time the death notice came as a shock to his home community.
