Actress. She performed in various films and television series during her career. She started her career as a news reporter after graduating from Appalachian State University in Broadcasting with a minor in Modern Dance. She later moved to New York City to model and attended Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism to earn her Masters Degree while working through Ford Models, but was pulled toward acting after being cast as a reporter in "The Siege" (1998), directed by Edward Zwick. After appearing in the film and due to her love for the craft, she abandoned her journalistic career and went into acting, appearing in various television series and films through the years. Her film and television credits included "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", "Gossip Girl", "Ugly Betty", "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", "The Stepford Wives" (2004), "It's Complicated" (2009), and, most recently, "Nashville".
