Mr. Ray Albert Michael, Sr., 87, of Romney, WV. died Monday at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Michael, born in Medley, Grant County, WV; was the son of the late Lyle and Ora Cosner Michael. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

He was an iron worker. He was a member of Shenandoah Valley Bass Association and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his wiffe, Hazel E. Arnold Michael; a son, Ray A. Michael, Jr. and wife Tammy of Capon Bridge, WV; four daughters, Carol Quasney and husband Thomas, Patty Conneway and husband Randy all of Capon Bridge, WV; Sharon Hornsby and husband Wayne of Romney, WV; Vickye Robinson of Cumberland, MD; a sister, Mary Poling of Slanesville, WV; three brothers, Bobby Michael of Three Churches, WV; Arie Michael of Rough Run, WV; Glenn Michael of Ohio; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

The family received friends two hour prior services at the funeral home.

The funeral services were held at 12 noon, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the McKee Funeral Home Chapel in Romney with the Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

Burial was made in Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
