Wayne Leonard Brewer, 65, of Mountain View, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 15, 2016 at Batesville White River Medical Center. He was born October 8, 1951 in Wellington, Delaware, the son of Verna Cochran Tackett and Melvin Brewer.

Wayne was an Army Veteran with a tour in Vietnam. He was a member of the Riverside Church in Mtn. View. He traveled twice a week with Jerry Butler and Dean May to minister to the inmates at the Calico Rock Prison. He was also the President of the Mtn. View Garden Club.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Mitzi Brewer, one son, Shawn Brewer of Melbourne, three daughters, Crystal Ashley of Killeen, TX, Jennifer Hicks of Mtn. View, Pam Moreno of Hutto, TX, and nine grandchildren; one brother, James Brewer of Mtn. View and two sisters, Sandra Stevens of Fifty-Six and Becky Griffis of Concord.

He saddened us in death but inspired us in life, we salute you, Wayne.

A visitation will be held at the Riverside Church in Mtn. View on November 21, 2016 from 1:00-3:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 3:00pm with Pastor Coy Sutterfield officiating. Interment will be at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas following the funeral service.
