Sharon Kay Welch, 74, of New London, MO, died at 9:27 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016, at her home.

Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Chaplain Mark Burkey will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Sharon was born on June 2, 1942, in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Clinton and Catherine Torrey Ahern. She married James Welch on May 15, 1959, and he survives.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She is also survived by two sons; Jeff (Lori) Welch of Hannibal, MO and Michael (Cam) Welch of Perry, MO; 11 grandchildren, Brandon Welch, Brian Welch, Chris Welch, Jordan Welch, Mallory Welch, Meghan Dodd, Amber Bainter, Brandon LaForce, Jared LaForce, Whitney Voepel, and Amy Strout; 19 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Shirley Howland, of Eolia, MO.

Pallbearers are Brandon Welch, Brian Welch, Chris Welch, Jordan Welch, Jared LaForce, and Jared Dodd. Honorary Pallbearers are all the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sharon worked in retail sales, was a collector, and loved crafts of all kinds. She was an avid mushroom hunter, but her real passion was her family and spending time with the grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to the Community Loving Care Hospice.
