May have been married four times, first marriage to Chester Charles High about 1924 with one son born to this marriage Charles Lewis High born 1928 according to the 1930 census. Charles Lewis High is buried in Laurel Oaks Cemetery according to his death certificate. She shows up again with her son Charles Lewis on the 1940 census married to Russel M Bruce, they married in 1935 in Oklahoma. Next she married James Connie Calk married unknown , he is buried in the Laurel Oaks Cemetery and shares a double headstone with her, not sure if she is buried here or not. Lastly she married James P Shipley in 1984.

Bessie Nell Shaw married Charles Chester approx 1927. Then married Russell M. Bruce in 1935. Unknown when she married James Connie Calk, but was married to him at the time of his death in 1963. James Connie Calk's headstone is inscribed with Bessie's name and birth information, but death date is not etched. She married James P Shipley in 1984
