Ryan Joseph Murphy, 19 years of age, from Bellevue, WA died unexpectedly on December 17, 2015 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Ryan had completed his fall semester at Michigan State University where he was studying to become a healthcare professional. Ryan loved being a Spartan.
Ryan was born on July 1, 1996 in Kirkland, WA. He was raised in Bellevue, WA by loving parents Patrick and Karrie Murphy, devoted brother Patrick, and sister MacKenzie. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and 25 cousins.
Ryan will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, tender heart and sense of humor. Ryan was so much fun, he was caring and full of shenanigans. He loved deeply his time with friends and family. Ryan was a real "Game Changer".
Ryan was brave and courageous having dealt with epilepsy since 4 months old. Epilepsy never defined him, and he made sure to be strong and keep moving forward despite challenges. Ryan never complained and was intent on living as fully and richly as possible.
Services for Ryan will be held at the Bellevue First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00pm, followed by a reception to be announced. Church address: 1717 Bellevue Way, Bellevue, WA 98004
The family asks in lieu of flowers to make donations to the research fund in memory of Ryan Joseph Murphy. The donations will go to the Epilepsy/Neurology Department and University of Washington, please call 206-744-3576 and they will direct you.
