Eva J. Hoopes was born September 11, 1925, in Youngstown, Pa., a daughter of Leo and Mary (Wingrove) Hoopes.

Eva married Clarence Lawson, Jr.; and they became the parents of two daughters and a son.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, country music, and spending time with her family.

Eva formerly was a member of United Methodist Church, Ligonier.

At the age of 91, Eva J. (Hoopes) Lawson, 91, of Latrobe, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Lawson, Jr., three brothers, Leo, Arthur, and William Hoopes, and two sisters, Irma Papalazoros and Martha Caprino.

Eva was survived by two daughters, Connie Marks and her husband Robert, of Jennerstown, and Beverly Seybold and her husband Norman, of Latrobe; one son, Terry Lee Lawson and his wife, Conn, of Amherst, OH; one brother, Bernard Hoopes, of Latrobe; two sisters, Marie Joe, of Latrobe and Nancy Weimer, of Greensburg; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Graff officiating.
Interment at Unity Cemetery.
