Ronda Carol Davenport, 63, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Covenant Hospice Joyce Goldenberg Residence in Pensacola, FL. She was born on December 17, 1952 in Gideon, Missouri to Betty Molenaar.

Ronda grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1971. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart , Terry Davenport. Ronda and Terry moved to Destin, FL in 1984. She worked at First Baptist Church in Destin and Sandestin Beach Resort. She spent the last 17 years working for United Way of Okaloosa and Walton Counties. She became the Vice President of Campaign/Marketing in 2000 and during her time there raised millions of dollars for the community she loved. People were her passion and it showed in all she did. Ronda married Terry Davenport in 1972 in Memphis, Tennessee. They were happily married for 44 years.

Ronda was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach. She was a member of the Destin, FWB, Walton County and Niceville Chambers of Commerce. She was a member of ECPRO and served as the President in 2006. She was also a member of the American Business Women’s Association and the Destin Kiwanis Club. She completed Leadership Okaloosa. She enjoyed singing, dancing, traveling, spending time with her grandkids, serving others in need, and being with her loving husband.

Ronda is survived by her spouse Terry Davenport of Navarre, Florida; her daughter, Jessica Davenport, (Shane Atkinson)of Niceville, FL; her son, Jeremy, (Kelly) Davenport of Murfreesboro, TN; her daughter, Jackie,(Brock)Crews of Kennesaw, GA ; her parents, Richard and Betty Molenaar of Memphis, TN; her sister, Pamela Woods of Memphis, TN; Her brother, Johnny,(Robin) Wiles of Memphis, TN; her sister Becky, (Tommy) Archer of Olive Branch, MS; her grandchildren Dylan Johnson, Zach Johnson, Bella Davenport, Bryden Davenport, Gabriel Davenport, Olivia Crews, Katelyn Crews.

A visitation will be held at First Baptist Church at 21 First St. SE from 5-7 pm on Thursday, Nov. 17. A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 18 at First Baptist Church of Ft. Walton Beach with visitation at 11 am and the service at Noon. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to United Way of Okaloosa and Walton Counties at 112 Tupelo Ave SE in Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.
