Ella Wright Howard, age 89, of White Oak Branch Road, West Liberty, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at her residence.

Born March 14, 1927, in West Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Nora Gamble Wright. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Simon Smith and Floyd, Arthur, Melvin, and Jerry Wright; three sisters, Myrtle Cantrell, Nettie Cantrell, and Dale Pike; two grandchildren, Shana Howard and William Howard; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Howard.

She is survived by her husband, Elder Clint Howard; one daughter, Shirley (Russell) Robbins of West Liberty; three sons, Shanklin Howard of Ezel, Jimmy Howard of West Liberty, and Ballard Howard of Morehead; 10 grandchildren, Debbie Adkins, Jerry Robbins, Terry Robbins, Randy Howard, Robert Robbins, Melanie Johnson, Laura Cantrell, Shannon Kenning, Shonda Hunt, and Adam Howard; 22 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Katherine Ball of Fairborn, Ohio, and Martha Jones of McArthur, Ohio; sister-in-law, Polly Howard of West Liberty; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.

Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and member of Cantrell's Creek Peaceful Valley Church. She loved to raise a garden, enjoyed singing old time gospel music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Elder Roy Collett, Elder Gerald Wright, Elder Norman Wright, and Elder Lonnie B. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Staver Smith Cemetery on White Oak Branch Road. West Liberty.

Pallbearers: John Howard, Anthony Gullett, Johnny O'Neal, Jerry Robbins, Terry Robbins, Robert Robbins, Danny Robbins, Chris Chapman, Bradley Wright, and Clifford Keeton

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
