Rebecca Sue Johnston, age 68, of Royal, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at her residence. She was born on November 14, 1948, at Orchard, Nebraska, the daughter of Lloyd and Dora (Vollers) Twibell.
Rebecca attended country school at District 30, graduated from Orchard High School, and attended the University of Nebraska.
On July 19, 1968, she was united in marriage to Bobby Johnston at Orchard United Methodist Church. They were blessed with two children, Gail and Heidi.
Rebecca and Bobby lived on farms around Royal, Nebraska. They raised cattle and hogs and then ran a dairy for many years. After retirement, they raised quail for hunting resorts in Nebraska. Rebecca attended Cornerstone Bible Church and participated in the many church and community activities.
Rebecca is survived by: her husband, Bobby; daughter, Heidi and her husband Jay Blomenkamp; son-in-law, Harry Lampert; one grandchild; two step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and brother, Jerry Twibell.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Lloyd and Dora Twibell; daughter, Gail Lampert; brother, Tom Twibell; and sisters, Joanne Leiding and Barbara Mitteis.
Funeral services for will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Cornerstone Bible Church at Orchard, Nebraska. Burial in Royal Cemetery in Royal, Nebraska.
